Saddle panels
A saddle panel (typical side stretch panel) is a common panel in shipbuilding.
To create a saddle panel;
To create a saddle panel;
- use the bending tools for producing a cylindrical panel
- change to rolling tools and stretch/elongate both longitudinal sides of the panel until the panels matches with the templates.
A saddle panel is characterized by having longer, elongated sides, hence it is classified as “side stretch panel.”
